Hawks Nest (Port Stephens) (Wk 5)

View from Mt Yacaaba towards Hawks Nest

Short drive for 3 nights (13/14/15) in Hawks Nest staying at a caravan park right on the beach.

On the first day we took advantage of the cooler weather and tackled Mt Yacaaba which included walking along the beach; not recommended wearing walking boots :-).

Today has been more relaxing taking the ferry (along with dolphins swimming on the bow) from Tea Gardens to Nelson Bay and back.

Tomorrow we start the journey to Sydney for Christmas via Merriwa RSL campgrounds and Paul’s cousins farm in Molong (Nr Orange) to leave caravan.

View of Mt Yacaaba from the very long beach
At last off the sand and onto track

    Enjoying your blog….
When the pictures are on the left hand side of page we can’t read the whole caption! The first part can’t be seen…
Well at least not on an iPad!

Have tried to centre pictures. Looks ok on a pc and also if you change your iPad to portrait rather than landscape.

Looks amazing and it is interesting to hear about local places rather than main tourist centres. Have a lovely Xmas
